Cute things for around the house

As per usual I am bored on the internet. Therefore I decided to do some shop browsing and post things I think some of you lovely people may like. (I reckon Samia & Lily will appreciate them the most though).

I found this cushion and couldn't help but want to post it! 'Tis so damn pretty. It is hand made out of 100% cotton, with an applique linen square and an applique felt cupcake. They also have a variety of other colour schemes for those who are not fond of pink! notonthehighstreet.com

Do I really need to say anything about this tea cup?!?!?! Also comes in pink =] notonthehighstreet.com

A sign for all women in my opinion! Mmm I could do with some chocolate... notonthehighstreet.com

I think this cup is fabulous! Perfect for anyone with a love of fine tea and legs. Not sure of how easy it is to use but oh well! You can also buy matching teapots, sugar bowls and milk jugs. hiddenartshop.com

I just love knitted food. I think it's adorable. Unfortunately my knitting skills aren't good enough to make my own. strawberryfool.co.uk

Ode to Rococo

"Rococo (less commonly roccoco) is a style of 18th century French art and interior design Rococo rooms were designed as total works of art with elegant and ornate furniture, small sculptures, ornamental mirrors, and tapestry complementing architecture, reliefs, and wall paintings. It was largely supplanted by the Neoclassic style." Source

Some may think it's a bit over the top, I on the other hand love it!!!

I think this wardrobe is beautiful!!! It's so shabby chic! Yum yum yum!
The detail that the carved and painted into their furniture is just exquisite! Just chuck out the detail on this bed:

It wasn't just their furniture that they went all out with. The dresses were covered in ruffles, lace, embroidery and ribbons. They were made out of light fabrics of pale colours.

Change

I want to move out!!! I want something of my own. I've been thinking of moving up to Scotland... Maybe Edinburgh... It would be nice to have a change of scenery. Plus London is starting to make me feel lonely and life is starting to repeat it's self.

We'll see what happens.

If I move I would you like these please..

Top 10 "Strangest" Wedding Cakes

Once upon a time in the world of wedding cakes, there lived a 3 tiered fruit cake of plain white icing...

That is all but a story now as the acceptance of imagination and diversity increases more everyday! People are feeling more comfortable with going a bit wild and wacky with their wedding choices.

Here are my top 10 favorite:

10)

Yes, that is an eyeball! Why not let your wedding cake watch you as you eat it. Personally I find this cake disconcerting.

9)
Why have a regular cake when you can celebrate your love with a Nintendo Wii controler each?!

8)

I love this cake! Not only does it look like some form of three tiered stripey top hat but the bride seems to be pushing her groom off the top!

7)

Cupcakes are becoming increasingly more popular at weddings...

6)

... So are Mario themed cakes!

5)

Dr. Who themed wedding anyone?! Personally I've not watched Dr. Who but I can imagine it would be quite an amusing wedding to attend if the couple were dressed like these cake toppers!

4)
Yet another Mario cake! I'm amazed at how this one keeps together though! Kudos to whoever baked this masterpiece!

3) Definately for the cheeky amongst us! This does make me laugh!

2)

I suggest that any man who finds his fiance eyeing up this cake should watch his back once he's said 'I do'...

1)How could this cake not be number 1?! I don't think I even need to explain why. Just look at it!!! Explosions... plane crashes... gun fights.... =P

Let them eat cake,

So here we go!

After great consideration I have decided to create a blog so that my mother no longer needs to listen to me rant and rave about anything on my mind!

I shall write about something or other in a while as I am hungry and would like lunch.

(This must be a very thrilling first blog! Haha)
